About me
I am an assistant professor in the HCC-section at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH). I joined UCPH in 2015 where I'm currently a member of the Computational Artifacts research project (CompArt). I publish mainly in CSCW / HCI including the Journal of Computer Supported Cooperative Work. In my research, I address a range of themes in the domain of the data-driven workplace. My long-term research interests concerns datafication of complex, collaborative domains of work.  I examine how the increasing use of data for decision-making affects the nature of collaborative work across a range of fields from healthcare to architecture. I explore different questions in relation to these areas of work ethnographically to understand, e.g. how people take decisions when there is not an obvious 'right' or wrong'. I'm interested in how people handle time-spans in, for example, larger architectural projects up to 10 years in their daily work - and the relationship with material matter and on the other hand artefacts. Other questions that I explore are in relation to co-creation and the role of citizens in, e.g. administrative work. These questions I study in long-term collaborations with different types of organizations to better understand the nature of collaborative work - and the relationship with artefacts - and technology-support.

Research
In 2018 I'm really exited to be part of a new research project 'EcoKnow' where we will explore how we can make case management effective, flexible and transparent!! Together with Professor Thomas Hildebrandt, associate professor Marisa Cohn, associate professor Lars Rune Christensen, Professor Jørgen P. Bansler and other amazing industrial and research partners. Stay tuned! Supported by the Innovation Foundation.

FemTech.dk
In the FemTech initiative we are actively addressing the significant gender disparities in IT in Denmark - and beyond. Professor Pernille Bjørn is heading the FemTech research group dedicated to explore the narrative of computer science. Here we support students in learning how to create an IoT product utilising micro-controllers - while playing with all sorts of materials.
